While plastic is not as popular, it is an acceptable substitute. Commercial manufacturers generally use plastic to make cornhole boards. It is often less expensive than wood and lasts longer.
The cornhole game can be learned easily. A player must be thirty feet from the cornhole board. Each player aims for the hole with the bag that he or she tosses. Players can get points for putting the bag into the hole in the board. They are also given for landing on the board if the bag remains there. Bags that fall off do not receive points. Singles games pit one person against another. The cornhole game can also be played in teams of two. A doubles game also requires two cornhole boards. Each team uses a separate board. The same board is used by both people when they play doubles.

Technology has stopped many people from playing the older games because they forget how much fun they can be. People who enjoy simpler games would still enjoy the cornhole game.
